 Main Stage
Hello to our Blueberry Bluegrass Fans
Despite our “Big Storm” on Saturday night, we had a great
festival. A huge “Thank You” to all those people who helped one
another out in time of need. It was indeed a challenge after the
storm with the site being under construction, but bluegrass fans
did not lose sight of the reason they came to the festival &
that was to listen to and take part in the music. Next year is
our 25th anniversary and the grounds will be completed. Yes,
there will be grass on them there hills!
We would like to thank MLA Fred Lindsay, the town of Stony
Plain Mayor Ken Lemke, and the foreman and maintenance staff for
the town for their quick response & support after the storm.
Thanks to all the volunteers & sponsors without whom it would be
impossible to put this festival on. We are already working on
the 2010 festival and have confirmed Rhonda Vincent & The Rage,
Dailey & Vincent, The Spinney Brothers, & Hard Ryde, so far,
with more to come. Hope to see you at our “Big Bash” in 2010.
Marty Stuart's "Storm Song"
Marty Stuart wrote a song about the storm that blew through
on Saturday afternoon of the 2009 festival and performed it for us all on
that Sunday. He
gave us his handwritten lyrics, which we have available for you
to view.
Just click here to view the
lyrics.
We also managed to record his performance for you to enjoy and reminisce.
