The 24th Annual Blueberry Bluegrass & Country Music
Society Festival in 2009
We are working feverishly on the 2009 line-up and so far have
confirmed the following great acts.

Jesse McReynolds Cancelation due to Illness
Sorry fellow bluegrassers, we are just as disappointed as you
are that Jesse is unable to appear at the festival this year. He
is unable to travel due to an unfortunate illness, and we at the
Blueberry Bluegrass Festival and the bluegrass world wish him a
speedy recovery, and hope that next year we might be able to
enjoy his unique cross-picking style of mandolin. As you may
have noticed, we are proud to announce that Sierra Hull, a young
future bluegrass superstar will be appearing at Blueberry this
year, and we look forward to hearing her entertain us. Click on

Martin Guitars, Blueberry Custom, HD-28 Guitar Raffle
Don't miss your chance to win a one of a kind, custom, Martin
HD-28 guitar. In 2008, with the generous assistance of Myhre's Music and Martin Guitars, the Blueberry Bluegrass
Festival came up with an idea to raffle a customized HD-28
guitar, with the Blueberry logo inlaid in the pickguard and the
year 2008 inlaid in the fretboard. The response was so
positive and enthusiastic that we're doing it again this year!
There are only a limited number of tickets available, so don't
wait to get yours. They will be available during the
festival on site, or you can stop by Myhre's Music, or the
Capital City Jammers open stage, held every Monday night at the
Fiddler's Roost (8906 - 99 Str. Edmonton). This is truly a once in a lifetime
opportunity to own a one of a kind Martin Guitar.

A big "Thank you" to all our loyal Bluegrass music lovers for
their unwavering support again during this past 2008 festival.
The bluegrass family turn out faithfully each year despite the
threat of thunderclouds or any kind of inclement weather to see
their favourite Bluegrass act. We really appreciate your
continued support. We also wish to thank our board members
and the many volunteers who worked so hard and without whom we
couldn't possibly have made this all come together.
Our 2010 festival is Blueberry's 25th Anniversary, and we are
planning a "Big Bluegrass Bash". Stay tuned y'all, you
don't want to miss this one!
