Wood Box Heroes

An acoustic super-group, Wood Box Heroes is deeply rooted in a tradition that encourages the melding of an eclectic-array of sounds paired with crafty, authentic songwriting. The band delivers a penetrating listening experience, one which plunges deep into the country caverns of the bluegrass soul. 

Wood Box Heroes are:  Matt Menefee (banjo- Mumford & Sons, Cadillac Sky) and Barry Bales (bass- Alison Krauss & Union Station, Earls of Leicester) providing a solid foundation for the vocal magic of Jenee Fleenor (fiddle- George Strait, Larry Cordle, and FOUR-time Country Music Association Awards Musician of the Year) and Josh Martin (singer/songwriter/guitarist.)

It is quite astonishing that after years spent on separate roads, accompanying a spectrum of incredible artists and receiving some of the most sought-after honours and awards the music business offers, that Wood Box Heroes have arrived in a place that allows them to visit us at Blueberry, 2025.
