George McKnight

In demand festival emcee, seasoned broadcaster, freelance writer and emissary of all good things Canadian, George McKnight has made it his life’s work to make bluegrass music an enjoyable experience for audience and entertainers alike.

Over the past 20 years George has fronted over 200 bluegrass festivals along with several country music festivals and some fiddle contests as well. “This is where the action is,” comments George. “The music comes alive on stage and the fans agree.” A keen sense of timing, appreciation for the audience tastes, good backstage management and coordination are just some of the talents that George brings to the stage of these events.
