Abrams Brothers

The Abrams Brothers burst onto the Canadian Music Scene in 1999 at the ages of 6 and 9. They quickly created a stir in local, national and international music communities. The boys, now ages 16 and 13, demonstrate a talent for music beyond their years.

John and James proudly play bluegrass gospel music. Initially classically trained on violin, they quickly expanded their musical scope to include playing fiddle, mandolin, guitar, upright bass, banjo and resophonic guitar (dobro). Their harmony vocals are exceptional.

The boys signed with a USA Record Company MasterShield Records in the Spring of 2004. Their debut CD titled 'Carrying On' was released January 2005 and has further served to affirm their strong presence in the Bluegrass and Gospel Music Community. October 2005 marked the release of a blockbuster single written by well known Nashville songwriter Becky Buller, titled 'Searching for Myself in Tennessee'. This release has been paired with an accompanying CMT style Music Video. Filming for the video took place in Nashville, October 2005. Look for it on a Music Video Station near you.

The Abrams Brothers have recently returned to the recording studio in Luray, Virginia, to work on not one but three new projects. These new projects will demonstrate their versatility on vocals and a variety of instruments.

The Abrams Brothers have had return invitations to many prestigous venues including The Station Inn, Nashville, TN, The Midnight jamboree, Nashville, TN and The Grand Theatre, Kingston, ON. They have been featured on a variety of award winning radio shows throughout Canada and The USA. They opened for Ralph Stanley at the opening of The Ralph Stanley Museum in Clintwood Virginia October, 2004 and again for an encore SOLO performance at The Jetty Baker Center in Clintwood, October of 2005 at special request of Clintwood Mayor Donald Baker.

The highlight of their young careers came in October of 2005 when they made their DEBUT APPEARANCE on Nashville's Grandest Stage THE GRAND OLE OPRY. John and James were guests of well known Opry member and former Hee Haw cast member Mike Snider. The crowd went wild as they played a medley with Mike Snider and his String Band. Other guests that evening included Brad Paisley and Wynona Judd.

The Abrams Brothers are now Internationally acclaimed, having made their EUROPEAN Debut in May 2006. The Abrams Brothers and their band played to packed venues in a 4 country, 10 concert, 18 day music tour which included stops in Switzerland, Germany, Denmark and The Netherlands.

A successful tour of Israel in May kicked off the 2007 concert season. Other travel in 2007 includes the states of Texas, California, Nebraska , Maine, New Hampshire, Virginia and New York. Bluegrass may never be the same!

John and James have been blessed with a special talent and passion for their music and it shows. You'll want to keep an eye on this dynamic young duo as they perform throughout North America and Europe in the upcoming years.
